We have two positions open...

Travel Operations Specialist

Help Ministries Reach the Nations—One Itinerary at a Time.

Dallas-Fort Worth | Full-Time

Behind Every Great Trip Is Someone Making Sure All The Details Are Perfect.

When a pastor receives a travel itinerary...

When a mission team checks in at the airport...

When 40 travelers arrive at the correct destination...

It's because someone behind the scenes made sure every detail was handled correctly.

That's the role of our Travel Operations Specialist.

At Summit Travel, our Operations Team ensures every reservation is accurate, every airline schedule change is updated and every ticket is issued correctly. You may never meet every traveler you help.

But your work will directly support ministries sending gospel messengers all around the world.

Unlike online travel agencies, we book directly through Sabre's Global Distribution System (GDS)—the same airline reservation system used by major airlines and professional travel agencies worldwide. This gives us the ability to manage complex group reservations, ticket exchanges, airline schedule changes, and other services that online booking websites simply cannot provide.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an airline ticketing professional to become a key part of our operations team.

What You'll Do

Airline Ticketing & Reservation Management

  • Issue airline tickets for both individual and group reservations

  • Process exchanges, cancellations, refunds, and airline credits

  • Apply unused ticket credits to future travel

  • Issue EMDs (Electronic Miscellaneous Documents) when required

  • Monitor airline fare rules, ticketing deadlines, and airline policies

Sabre GDS Operations

You'll work daily inside Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS), the professional airline reservation platform used throughout the travel industry.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Working Sabre queues

  • Monitoring airline schedule changes

  • Reviewing queue messages and airline notifications

  • Updating passenger name records (PNRs)

  • Protecting reservations affected by airline schedule changes

  • Managing seat assignments and ancillary services

  • Maintaining reservation accuracy throughout the booking lifecycle

Sales Support

  • Prepare travel documents for Advisors

  • Include airline confirmation numbers (record locators)

  • Verify ticket numbers and passenger information

  • Support Advisors with operational questions

  • Assist with travel disruptions before and during departure

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate reservation records

  • Support ARC reporting and reconciliation

  • Help improve internal workflows and operational processes

Required Experience

This position requires airline ticketing experience.

Qualified candidates should have:

  • Professional experience using Sabre GDS

  • Experience issuing airline tickets

  • Experience processing exchanges, cancellations, and refunds

  • Understanding of airline fare rules

  • Experience working inside a travel agency or airline environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day

  • ARC reporting experience is a plus but not required

Ministry-Travel Advisor
Dallas-Fort Worth | Full-Time

This Isn't Just Another Sales Job.

Every year, thousands of churches, Christian schools, and mission organizations send teams around the world to share Christ.

Behind every one of those trips is someone that puts together the flight booking.

That's where we come in.

At Summit Travel, we remove the stress, complexity, and unnecessary cost of travel so ministries can focus on recruitment, training and coordinating with their international partner.

Every itinerary represents a mission team.

Every ticket represents a missionary.

Every ministry relationship helps advance the Gospel.

If you're looking for work with purpose, you've found it.

Business Can Be Ministry

You'll be on the phone prospecting to grow your own client base BUT what you're really doing is becoming the trusted travel advisor for churches and ministries across North America.

Some days you’re talking with airline reps all day.

Some days you'll answer a phone call from a pastor whose team is stranded because of weather.

Some days you'll pray with a mission pastor because of the hardship their ministry assignment is hard.

This is the work.

Who We Are

Summit Travel was built with one mission:

Reduce the cost and complexity of travel for the North American Church.

Today we partner with churches, Christian schools and mission agencies across the country.

We've earned the highest travel industry accreditations, built direct airline partnerships, and book through Sabre's Global Distribution System—the same technology used by the world's largest airlines and travel agencies.

But what excites us most isn't where we've been.

It's where we're going.

We're building a company that the North American church can trust.

Imagine Your Week...

Monday morning you're meeting with a mission pastor planning his church's first mission trip to Guatemala.

Tuesday you're comparing airline schedules that save a Christian school travel time and money.

Wednesday you're networking with ministry leaders at a conference.

Thursday you're chasing invoices and updating airline schedule changes.

Friday you're on a webinar learning the latest in the travel industry.

Every week is different.

Every relationship matters.

Every client has a mission bigger than themselves.

What You'll Do

You'll spend your time:

  • Building relationships with churches, schools, and mission organizations

  • Prospecting new ministry partners

  • Meeting pastors and ministry leaders

  • Preparing travel proposals and airfare quotes

  • Guiding clients through contracts and logistics

  • Serving clients before, during, and after their trips

  • Growing a book of business that financially provides for your family for decades.

This is a relationship business.

People buy from people they trust.

Who Thrives Here?

You'll probably love this role if you...

✔ Love meeting new people.

✔ Naturally build relationships wherever you go.

✔ Heart for Missions

✔ Enjoy solving problems.

✔ Believe business can honor God.

✔ Are self-motivated and entrepreneurial.

✔ Not afraid of working hard

.

You Don't Need Travel Experience.

Seriously.

We'll teach you:

  • The travel industry

  • Airline contracts

  • Group airfare

  • Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS)

  • Sales strategy

  • Client management

We're much more interested in your character than your resume.

Integrity.

Humility.

Curiosity.

Coachability.

A genuine desire to serve others.

Those qualities are much harder to teach.

What Success Looks Like

Getting ministry leaders to believe in you.

Our goal is simple:

Become the person pastors and ministry leaders think of first whenever they need travel.
